Magic: The Gathering Core Set 2021 Variety Show reveals many cards
Today, Wizards of the Coast released a new YouTube streaming video that officially kicked off previews of Core 2021, the next set for Magic: The Gathering. This video was framed as a "variety show" featuring many Magic celebrities, both in R&D and on the pro player circuit, as well as a host of bloggers from the international Magic communities. It was hosted by Magic vlogger and podcaster Jimmy Wong.

There were so many different revelations for the new core set that here at Bleeding Cool we weren't able to put all of the images in one post, so we'll look at certain things in this one and then post Part Two, in case people couldn't see everything.
For starters, we have a ton of Teferi-based cards.

It is important to note that Core 2021 is supposed to have as its main theme Teferi, the legendary Wizard of Zhalfir and Hero of Dominaria. Teferi has taken a negative hit in the sense that a very strong letter in his likeness is all over Standard right now, but hopefully this letter, which can do a lot on its own in a very important way, will be less contentious than that. That could be asking too much, but time will tell.
Please note that there are four different Teferi arts, Master of Time, with three different frames. There are twelve versions of this mythical rare!

There will also be cards for various other Planeswalkers, including Chandra, Garruk, the newcomer Basri Ket from the plane of existence named Amonkhet, and Liliana.

Cynthia Sheppard, Senior Art Director for Magic: The Gathering, had the opportunity to showcase the varied art for the Planeswalkers in this new main set. We have an opportunity to see art for all Planeswalkers, including Basri, Chandra and Garruk.

As mentioned at the beginning of this preview, we can't exactly show everything in one post. Look out for the second part of this revelation. But in the meantime, what do you think of what Core 2021 reveals? Let us know in the comments!
